He did bad things to bad people and saved so many lives. Let’s just say Adeline is one lucky woman. I wanted to be pinned to the floor by him and I wanted to run from him. I legit went back and forth with that man the entire story. What can I really say about our MMC? He had me shooketh. Adeline was a fierce FMC who thrived in scary situations and took the time to question everything. The progression of both the murder mystery and the stalking was woven together flawlessly. I ate up every twisted, sensual, dark word of this story. It’s thicccc and I had no idea how it could be made into a duet with how long Book 1 is but y’all. Words cannot express my thoughts about this book. Add in a crossover from Satan’s Affair and this is a WORK OF ART. What do a hacker, a vigilante, and a stalker have in common? Adeline Reilly. I commented much the same in my review for Satan's Affair, and I'm impressed to see that my observation wasn't a one-time deal with her.ℍ𝕒𝕦𝕟𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝔸𝕕𝕖𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕖 by 𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: July 17, 2021

Sometimes, it's good for a story to be all about the smexy times, but heavier subjects deserve to have more substance than the number of positions and o-faces we read about, you know? In my opinion, HD's overall writing style keeps a wonderful balance of the steamy scenes and the rest of the storyline and is one of her greatest strengths in writing these dark romances. But I think the timing really works better to showcase their overall growth into a couple and help put focus onto the other parts of the storyline.

Look for a cameo from a cute little psycho dolly, too! The development of Zade and Addie's romantic relationship is actually fairly slow, all things considered. We have graphic descriptions of murders, non-con/dub-con encounters between our leads, discussions of human trafficking focused heavily on child victims, and good old fashioned stalking. This book is fairly lengthy and honestly delves into some pretty dark subject matter.
